BaerCoil® wire thread inserts – surface treatments
Color | Applications | |
---|---|---|
Cadmium-plated | yellow, glossy | For high corrosion resistance and high lubrication to prevent seizing. Suitable up to 250°C. |
Galvanized | yellow | For high corrosion resistance, alternative for cadmium plating. |
Silver plated | silver | prevents thread seizure at high temperatures. |
Cadmium plated & olive colored | olive gray | According to US military specifications like NASM21209 |
Dry film lubrication | gray | Additional lubrication for applications with high frictional force, e.g. recommended for applications of inserts - type: "screw grip |
BaerCoil protection | black, glossy | prevents corrosion between the thread insert and the holding thread. Facilitates and improves installation. |
